Preparations for this year’s Wind Charming Day, the continuation of We Are Now 2013, have started!

This year, Wind Charming Day will take place on Sunday 31 August, at the Chilterns Gateway Centre on the Dunstable Downs from 1.30pm, when we will begin to charm the wind before flying our giant collective sculpture at 3pm.

Initiation Days:

We are inviting a small number of people to become special Wind Guardians for the new artwork and take part in one of two Wind Charmer Initiation Days which will take place in Dunstable on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August 11-4pm. We will guide you through the steps of becoming a Dunstable Wind Charmer and feeling in tune with the invisible force, with costume making, kite flying, story writing, and more…

As someone who took part last year we wanted to let you know early. Places are limited so please book asap (over 16 years old only).

Meet the artist:

Artist Laurence Payot who initiated the project last year as part of a commission with Bedford Creative Arts would love to meet you to talk about the plans for this year, how you can get involved, and hear your ideas to help shape the work. She is at Dunstable Library tomorrow, Wednesday 25 June from 4-6pm if you would like to share your thoughts.
